The RCMP is investigating after human remains were found in a rural area near Langdon on Monday.
A farmer came across the bones while cleaning up a property near Range Road 275 and Township 232 on Monday.
The RCMP Serious Crimes Unit and RCMP Forensic Identification Unit are assisting in the investigation and so far they don’t know how long the remains have been there.
The Missing Persons Unit has also been contacted to help identify the deceased.
A Special Tactical Operations Team from the RCMP will conduct an extensive search of the surrounding area on Wednesday to make sure all of the remains and any evidence are secured.
