Autopsies on two people found dead in a northeast apartment have been completed but police say further forensic testing is required before the cause of death can be determined.

Police were called out to a check on welfare at an apartment complex on Templegreen Dr. N.E. at about 2:00 p.m. Wednesday and found two people in their 30s dead inside one of the suites.

The resident manager of the complex called police saying the pair had not been seen or heard from in days.

Homicide investigators and the medical examiner spent Wednesday afternoon and evening surveying the building's underground parkade for evidence.  Police taped off an area surrounding a vintage motor cycle and a silver sedan.

“We don't know exactly what we're dealing with,” says Duty Inspector Stacey.

Police believe the cause of death is unnatural.  Officers have interviewed neighbours but are not looking for suspects.

Despite the possibility of a murder suicide, police say they're not aware of a violent history at this apartment.

“It's (the address) not on the police radar,” says Stacey.  “There’s no history of domestics or anything else at this point.”

Police have not confirmed the identities of the two people found deceased in the residence.
