Calgary police are looking into Friday's death of one person outside a residence in the city's northeast.

At approximately 4:30 p.m., police responded to a disturbance call on Hunterhorn Dr. N.E  in the community of Huntington Hills.

One man was found dead outside a home and another badly injured man was seen on the street calling for help and neighbours jumped in and called 911.

The injured man, believed to be in his twenties, was transported by EMS to Foothills Hospital and is in stable non-life threatening condition.

Police have taken at least two people into custody for questioning and say there is no danger to the public at this time.

"There are a lot of people to interview, a lot of questions to ask, and there's a large, large crime scene that has to be processed," says CPS Acting Duty Staff Sergeant Paul Wozney.

Several roads within Huntington Hills were closed to traffic during the investigation.

There is no word yet on what sparked the altercation or the identities of the victims.
