Two women who discovered the body of a Calgary mother testified at the Christopher Watcheston murder trial Tuesday.

Josee Lefebvre told court when she found the body of 41-year-old Arcelie Laoagan her face was so badly beaten that she couldn't make out any facial features.

But Lefebvre wasn't the first to discover Laoagan.

Sarah Jensen testified that she had actually come across the woman four-and-a-half hours earlier.

She yelled in Laoagan's face to try and get a response but ran away and didn't call for help because she had taken cocaine.

It was three days before she called police.

She told the court: "I feel guilty. Almost responsible because I didn't do anything about it."

At one point Jensen says she saw Laoagan's hand moving but thought it was just the wind blowing it back and forth.
