Police have charged a high-risk offender after an alleged domestic dispute.

Jack Samuel Froese has been charged with assault, assault with a weapon, damage to property and uttering threats.

The incident happened on Sunday at a home in Country Hills.

Police say they were called to the house. When officers arrived they found a woman with minor injuries.

Froese was found nearby, taken into custody and charged.

In July 2008, police issued a warning to Calgarians about Froese's release.

Police say he is a high-risk offender who served time for sexual assault with a weapon and uttering threats. He has also violently sexually assaulted and threatened to kill a woman who was not known to him.

Froese will appear in court on Friday.
