As the election heats up, parties and pollsters are coming out in full force and the only relief voters may get is when they leave their phone off the hook.

Elections Alberta is bearing the brunt of complaints, saying their get three to six complaints every day about people's lines being inundated with an excess amount of phone calls.

The organization is required by law to share voter lists with parties and unfortunately, it's powerless to stop them from calling voters.

Elections Alberta however has sent out a letter to various polling groups and parties, asking them to respect the wishes of voters who want to be taken off calling lists.
