Calgary police are advising motorists to drive for the conditions  following several collisions on city roadways.

Southbound Deerfoot Trail was closed for several hours at the 64 Ave. N. E. overpass following a traffic collision involving a semi-trailer.

Black ice and blowing snow have played havoc with the driving conditions along several stretches of Deerfoot Trail, with a number of collisions occurring between 16 Ave. N.E. and Memorial Drive. Police are advising against travel on this section of Deerfoot Trail.

In the southwest, several vehicles have slid off the road along Glenmore Trail near the 37 St. traffic circle. Traffic is backed up on east and westbound Glenmore.
