Members of the Calgary Police Service have arrested the woman believed responsible for a northeast bank robbery in June.

On June 23, 2016, a woman entered a bank in the 8200 block of Centre Street Northeast, in Beddington Heights, presented a note demanding cash and indicated she had a firearm. The suspect exited the branch with an undisclosed amount of cash.

An arrest warrant was issued for 30-year-old Jenna Margaret Interman on July 22 in connection with the robbery.

Interman was arrested during a traffic stop in northeast Calgary on Tuesday. The driver of the vehicle, 34-year-old Clayton McKay, was arrested and, during the apprehension, a CPS member was injured. The nature of the officer’s injuries has not been disclosed.

Following the traffic stop, Interman faces charges including:

  • Possession of stolen property over $5,000
  • Possession of stolen property under $5,000
  • Possession of marijuana
  • Identity theft
  • Being unlawfully at large (three counts)
  • Robbery
  • Possession of a weapon
  • House break-and-enter
  • Breaching conditions

McKay face charges including:

  • Possession of stolen property over $5,000
  • Possession of stolen property under $5,000
  • Resisting arrest (two counts)
  • Operating a vehicle while disqualified
  • Identity fraud
  • Being unlawfully at large (five counts)

Police have not released the dates of Interman's and McKay's scheduled court appearances.
