The Alberta Serious Incident Response Team, investigating a police-involved shooting on Deerfoot Trail, is seeking the driver of a silver car, who may be able to help their investigation.

The organization has already spoken with a number of witnesses who have all been a great help in the investigation, but require speaking with the driver or one of the occupants of this last vehicle.

On the evening of February 28, Jason Gary Roy, 34, and Ashley Jennifer Silver, 26, are alleged to have stolen a Ford F350 truck and led police on an extended pursuit throughout south Calgary.

According to police, the stolen truck was involved in multiple hit-and-run collisions and was seen driving on sidewalks and pathways.

The pursuit ended when CPS vehicles surrounded the stolen truck on Deerfoot Trail near McKenzie Lake Blvd. S.E.

Shots were fired into the cab of the Ford F350 when Roy allegedly attempted to ram a number of police vehicles at the scene.

He was pronounced dead at the scene and Silver was transported to hospital in critical condition.

If you were one of the occupants in this vehicle or know who the occupants were please contact the Calgary ASIRT office at 403-592-4306.
