Calgary firefighters were called out to a home in Whitehorn on Wednesday for reports of a vehicle on fire.
Investigators say a man started his late 90s sedan in his garage on Whitewood Bay N.E. just after noon and noticed smoke coming from under the hood.
The man left the structure and called 911.
Fire crews quickly responded and were able to snuff the fire before it reached the attached garage and home.
The vehicle was heavily damaged and the garage sustained some smoke damage.
No one was injured and the fire is currently under investigation.
