Those who wanted to catch Wednesday night's GlobalFest show got a deal on last-minute tickets.
Calgary’s fireworks festival discounted tickets for the Mexico Night performance between 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. Tickets were sold for $10.00 plus GST from the box offices at Elliston Park.
Organizers say the discount recognizes that this year and last year have been challenging for attendees due to the economy and difficult for the festival due to the weather.
The discount is 50% off the usual ticket price of $20.00. After 8:00 p.m., tickets went back to full price.
