RCMP are working to track down three suspects who assaulted a homeowner with bear spray at a residence north of Conrich earlier this month.

Police were called to a home east of Calgary on November 17 at about 4:45 p.m. and say the homeowner was in an outbuilding when he saw a suspicious vehicle parked in the driveway.

He approached the vehicle and was speaking with a woman in the car when two males came out of the residence and assaulted him with bear spray.

The offenders fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of property in a grey, four-door sedan with a black roof and black steel wheels.

EMS treated the homeowner at the scene for minor injuries and exposure to the spray.

One of the males is described as:

  • Black
  • In his 30s
  • 178 cm of  5'10" tall
  • Weighs about 91 Kg or 200lbs
