Calgary police are searching for two suspects and a damaged suspect vehicle following a brazen Sunday morning smash-and-grab at a northeast mall.

According to police, at 4:15 a.m., officers responded to Marlborough Mall in the 3800 block of Memorial Drive N.E. after a pickup truck slammed through the exterior entrance of the mall and into the Anthony Jewellers jewelry store.

Two suspects exited the vehicle and stole an unidentified amount of merchandise from the shop. The suspects returned to the vehicle and drove off prior to the arrival of CPS members.

The suspect vehicle is described as a:

  • Ford F350
  • 2006 – 2008 model
  • White or light coloured
  • Having a significant amount of chrome

The vehicle sustained significant damage to its front end.

According to the owners of Anthony Jewellers, customer items awaiting repair were not removed by the thieves.
