Charges are pending against an unidentified 29-year-old man in connection to Saturday’s discovery of a body inside a home on the north side of Lethbridge.
Early Saturday afternoon, officers responded to a home in the 500 block of 19 Street North for a check on welfare request. Inside the residence, LRPS members located a dead body.
The deceased has been identified as 29-year-old Matthew James Flitton.
Flitton’s death has been ruled a homicide and police have identified, and arrested, a suspect in connection to the death.
The identity of the suspect has not been released as the man has not been formally charged. Charges are expected to be formalized Sunday night.
