Police are seeking a Calgary man on an Alberta-wide warrant who they believe is responsible for a large amount of graffiti through the inner city.

Between November 2012 and July 2013, investigators with the Joint Graffiti Investigation Team were called to numerous occurrences of graffiti on businesses, Transit, and City property in Varsity, Bowness, and the downtown core believed to be related to one individual.

Police estimate the damage to be in the range of $10,000.

Jay Crawford, 34, of Calgary, is being sought in connection with the crimes.

He is described as:

  • Caucasian
  • 5’10”
  • 185 lbs
  • blonde hair
  • blue eyes
  • tattoos covering both arms

Police urge residents that if they see vandalism in progress, they should call 911 right away.
