Police in Okotoks are looking for the public’s help in identifying the person or persons responsible for causing the deaths of four cows on a ranch north of the community.

On October 7, police were called to the De Winton area for a report that someone trespassed on a ranch west of Highway 2A sometime that evening.

The caller reported that whoever opened the gate to the ranch ended up driving a 4x4 around on the property, chasing cattle grazing on the land.

Four cows died from injuries they sustained while being chased by the vehicle.

Police are now asking for witnesses to come forward and share any information they have about the incident.
