The pilot of a biplane suffered no serious injuries in a Tuesday afternoon crash at the Springbank Airport.

According to EMS officials, a paramedic crew was called to the airport shortly after noon following reports a plane had flipped during taxiing after landing. Members of the Cochrane RCMP detachment also attended the scene.

The pilot, the lone occupant of the aircraft, declined medical treatment. The age and gender of the pilot has not been released.

Transport Canada is investigating the crash. Strong wind is suspected to be a contributing factor in the overturning of the biplane.
