It was a tense morning in the southeast neighbourhood of New Brighton on Thursday after someone called in to police saying they spotted someone with a gun.
Police originally got the call as being a suspicious person inside a home in the 1700 block of New Brighton Dr. S.E.
There were reports that an occupant inside the home had a weapon but no weapon was found.
Once police contained the area, they resolved the situation peacefully.
All pedestrian and street traffic was blocked off in the area.
There is no information on charges in the incident.
