Investigators are attempting to question a stabbing victim and an unidentified woman, believed to be the man’s girlfriend, following the early morning arrival of the injured man at the Rockyview Hospital.

Shortly before 4:00 a.m., a black Ford F150 pickup truck arrived at the doors of the hospital’s emergency room and a severely injured man exited the vehicle. Police believe the injured man’s girlfriend was driving the pickup truck.

The man’s condition was described as severe, potentially life threatening and he was transported by a police escorted ambulance to the trauma centre at the Foothills Medical Centre.

Police have not confirmed where the stabbing occurred as the driver of the Ford F150 left the premises of the Rockyview Hospital without being questioned by officers.

Anyone with information about the stabbing is asked to contact the Calgary Police Service, 403-266-1234, or Crime Stoppers.
