The sole victim of a plane crash over the weekend near Sylvan Lake has been identified.
At about 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, emergency crews responded to the scene of a crash 13 km west of Sylvan Lake.
Witnesses reported seeing the plane go down into a field.
By the time paramedics and police got there, the pilot was already dead.
The victim has been identified as 70-year-old Mike Chysyk from Saskatoon.
The cause of the crash has not been released.
