Normal activities have returned to the Drumheller Correctional Institution following a nearly week long lockdown sparked by the assault of an inmate.
RCMP and Correctional Service of Canada investigated the July 27 attack of a prisoner at the medium-security institution. The unidentified inmate suffered undisclosed injuries in the assault and was transported to hospital for medical treatment.
Following the lifting of the lockdown, the facility has reinstated inmate visits.
