Family and friends of Chelsea Serpentini-Harty gather for a candlelight vigil in her memory.

They will meet at 8 o’clock Sunday night at the Tim Horton’s at 17 Avenue and 70 Street Southeast, near Elliston Park.

The will also be accepting donations to help her family with funeral costs.

The 24 year old was found dead inside a home in the 400 block of Pinehill Road Northeast on August 25.

Police have charged 26 year old Jonathon Martin with first degree murder in her death.

Investigators believe the couple was together for only about a month before the incident occurred and alcohol may have been a factor in the events as they transpired.

Martin is scheduled to appear in court September 8.
