Authorities in Airdrie are concerned for the safety of a missing teenager after it is believed that the young man may be in possession of a rifle.
RCMP released an appeal for public tips on Thursday after 15-year-old Aaron Van Huizen was reported missing.
The youth hasn’t been seen since 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday in the Creek Side community in Airdrie.
Police say that they became increasingly concerned when they learned that Van Huizen may have a rifle with him.
It’s not believed that he is any risk to himself or anyone in the public.
He is described as:
- Caucasian
- medium brown hair
- 184 cm
- 64 kg
- blue eyes
- thin build
last seen wearing khaki pants, gray shirt, light tan jacket and a black hoodie
Police are continuing to work to locate Van Huizen.
