The southwest portion of the ring road if forging ahead and an information session is being held on Thursday night to update residents.

Construction on the southwest section of the road is slated to begin in 2016 and it will eventually provide a connection between Macleod Trail in the south and the west part of Stoney Trail.

Calgarians are invited to attend a public information session on Thursday for an update on the progress of designs for connections and recommended changes to streets and intersections.

Thursday’s public meeting is at Bethany Chapel at 3333 Richardson Way S.W. from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m.

This is the second of three sessions, one session was already held on Tuesday at the Southland Leisure Centre and a third is planned for November 4 at Bishop O’Byrne High School.
