Candy company takes interest in Lethbridge rainbow house
Curious onlookers wanting to take their picture at Kim Siever's rainbow-coloured home can be rewarded with candy for their effort.
LETHBRIDGE, Alta. -
One of North America's most popular candy brands has reached out to a Lethbridge family and their unique house, which has become a selfie hub for Pride.
Kim Siever and his family painted their house with the colours of the rainbow, then offered a free pack of Skittles candy to anyone who came by to take a selfie in front of the house.
June is Pride month, and soon the house become popular as a background for members of the LGBTQ+ community to shoot photos in front of.
The Sievers have already received over $500 in donations from the community to keep Skittles in stock, when the company reached out to Siever through Twitter and asked for his address.
When CTV News reached out to Skittles to see if the company would be stepping up to help keep the supply going, we were given this response:
“No Comment but Shhh…it’s a surprise. And yes, product might be on the way. But – actually - no comment.”
Anyone who comes by to shoot a selfie in front of the Siever home can get a taste of the rainbow.
