The Chinook CTrain Station is complete and the new and improved platform will reopen to commuters on Tuesday.

The station was closed for eight months so crews could revamp the platform to accommodate longer trains.

The improvements include; a wider pedestrian walkway, an at-grade track crossing, three heated passenger shelters on the platform and a heated bus terminal passenger shelter.

The bus terminal that was temporarily relocated to 3 Street S.W. will also be moved back to the station as of Tuesday.

The city says that over 12,000 customers use the station every week day and that it is among the top 10 most heavily used in the system.
