Southbound Deerfoot Trail traffic was reduced to one lane south of 16 Ave. N.E. following an afternoon collision near the Memorial Drive overpass.
Shortly after 2:00 p.m., the driver of a southbound semi appearsto have lost control of their vehicle and slid into the median where it came to a rest facing northbound. Collision occurred between the semi and several other vehicles.
EMS crews responded to the scene and transported one patient, a woman believed to be in her early forties, to the Foothills Hospital in stable, non-life threatening condition. No other injuries have been reported.
Two lanes of southbound Deerfoot Trail were closed for more than three hours while crews attempted to move the vehicles from the road.
