Canadian artists are donating their work for a fundraiser to raise awareness about sexual abuse.
"Kickstart", Calgary Communities Against Sexual Abuse held the art auction at Art Central Wednesday night.
They hope to raise money to continue counseling and support programs.
Last night was the first public showing of the work, and now the silent auction moves online.
Artists, like Tobias Luttmer, hope their work can in some way help victims of sexual abuse. "It's something that as a society we tend to hide from. We don't want to know this is happening. We don't want to know people are capable of doing this and we don't want to think about the victims of this so for me participating in this event and donating too is very important."
Artwork can be viewed and bid on online.
