The northbound lanes of Crowchild Trail Southwest were closed Friday afternoon near the 33 Avenue overpass following a crash that claimed a life.

Police confirm the single vehicle crash occurred shortly before 5:00 p.m. at a location between the 17 Avenue and 33 Avenue exits. A Chevrolet Tahoe left the road and collided with a noise barrier wall.
