The former public works foreman for the Town of Oyen faces four charges in connection with his alleged wrongdoings while serving as a water and wastewater operator.

Darcy Dobrosky, a 59-year-old resident of Oyen, allegedly provided false or misleading information and failed to monitor potable water at random locations within the water distribution system during his time as an employee of the Town of Oyen.

An investigation into possible violations under the Environmental Protection and Enhancement Act was launched after allegations surfaced in March 2016. The alleged offences occurred between April 2009 and March 2016.

Dobrosky is scheduled to make his first court appearance in connection with the charges on April 25, 2018 in Hanna Provincial Court.

Council meeting records from the Town of Oyen confirm Dobrosky served as public works foreman.
