H1N1 vaccine clinics opened their doors on Monday to offer all Albertans immunization shots.
All Albertans older than six months are eligible to receive the vaccine for free and Albertan Health Services is encouraging individuals at high risk for influenza related complications to get their H1N1 vaccination as soon as possible.
AHS say that the H1N1 vaccine is safe, effective and authorized for use across Canada and that vaccination is the best defense against influenza.
Alberta Health Services is shifting priority from the seasonal influenza vaccine to focus its efforts on immunizations for H1N1 but vaccine for seasonal influenza will still be available to those who want it.
Four clinics have been set up in Calgary and AHS is asking people to be patient if they encounter line ups.
H1N1 clinics are at the following locations:

Unit 303, 12445 Lake Fraser Dr. S.E.
