Young buckaroos looking to support the Red Cross flood relief effort have an age appropriate t-shirt option from the Calgary Stampede.

The child version of the shirt sports a ‘Heck or High Water’ message, a slight departure from the popular ‘H-E- double hockey sticks’ adult version.

To date, sales of the ‘Hell or High Water’ shirts have raised more than $500,000 for the Canadian Red Cross Alberta Floods Fund.

“We are overwhelmed with the amount of support that Canadians have shown Alberta,” says Deanne Carson, vice-president marketing and external relations, Calgary Stampede. “We would love to sign a cheque for more than a $1 million dollars to this relief fund by the end of Stampede. We are so grateful to the public and corporate Calgary who are supporting this campaign and enabling us to donate a significant amount to those people in our back yards of southern Alberta who may have lost everything.”

The Stampede has received more than 10,000 orders daily, with many of the purchases being for multiple shirts.  A team of approximately 80 volunteers are preparing orders for shipment within Calgary and around the world.
