It is still not known what killed a man who was found in a vehicle parked on a Forest Lawn street on Friday morning.
Police cordoned off a street in the 4300 block of 19 Ave. S.E. after they received a call about an injured man in a vehicle.
Emergency crews responded to the area just after 1:00 a.m. and pronounced the man dead at the scene.
Police say that the call was placed by a woman who said she knew the victim. Her relationship to the victim is not known at this time.
Homicide detectives are investigating and forensic investigators have been combing the scene all day for evidence.
The man's body was removed from the scene by the medical examiner for autopsy.
"We haven't done the autopsy yet ,obviously, to confirm the cause of death. However, we do feel that it's not a natural death," said Duty Inspector, Paul Stacy.
The man is believed to be in his fifties and acquaintances say he was a nice man but that he had some trouble with drugs and lived a high risk lifestyle.
People who live near the scene say they didn't know the victim, but that they had seen the Bronco in the area quite frequently.
Residents say they are not surprised by what happened and one woman said she has had enough and is moving as soon as she can.
"There's a lot of activity in the area and under circumstances I live here but I won't be living here much longer," said the woman.
The autopsy is scheduled for Monday.
