A man who was identified as a person of interest in the death of Richard Pember at a Bankview home earlier this week has been found and is now being questioned by investigators.

On Thursday, Calgary police put out a plea to the public to find 36-year-old Zachery Frederick Rider and said that he may have information on Pember’s death.

Pember, 58, was found dead in a residence in the 1800 block of 17th Avenue S.W. on Tuesday after his roommate showed up at a fire station asking for help.

An autopsy determined that the death was a homicide but police have not disclosed how Pember died.

Rider was located at about 8:30 a.m. Friday and is being interviewed by police.
