Police have released the name of a man who was found dead in a Bankview residence on Tuesday and are asking for the public for help to locate a person of interest in the case.
A man walked into a southwest fire station saying he needed help with his roommate and crews drove him to a home on 17th Avenue SW.
A man was found dead inside the home and police were called in to investigate.
The man has been identified as 58-year-old Richard Pember of Calgary and an autopsy has determined that his death is a homicide.
Police have identified another man who they believe may have information in Pember’s death and are looking to speak to him.
He has been identified as 36-year-old Zachery Frederick Rider and police say they have not been able to locate him.
Rider is described as:
- Aboriginal
- About 175 cm or 5’9” tall
- 82 Kg or 180 pounds
