The Banded Peak School near Bragg Creek was evacuated on Wednesday morning after officials were made aware of a threat against the facility.
Officials at the school say a threat was received on Tuesday and that they made the decision to evacuate the building as a precaution after conducting an investigation.
Police were called in at about 10:00 a.m. Wednesday and say officers remained in contact with school staff during the evacuation.
Cochrane RCMP determined that the threat was false and continue to investigate.
