One of Calgary's most philanthropic families is giving a big financial boost to Mount Royal University.
Don Taylor and his family announced Friday they will be donating $20-million to the university's conservatory.
The Taylors are well known for donating millions to arts and education through their company, Engineered Air.
This is the largest single private donation the school has received in its 100 year history.
The money will be used to help build the new Bella concert hall, named in honour of the Taylor matriarch.
The curtain is expected to rise on the new facility in 2013.
