The woman accused of putting dozens of sharp metal objects into food products was sentenced in a Calgary courtroom on Tuesday afternoon
Tatyana Granada was found guilty of mischief and trespassing two months ago for putting dangerous objects into food at the Oakridge Co-op in 2010.
The 45-year-old represented herself at the hearing because her lawyer withdrew from the case last week.
The judge in the case urged her to find new representation, but she refused to do so.
Granada was sentenced to three years in prison and a five year weapons prohibition.
She will be credited with time served and so will serve 33 months in jail.
