Calgary police have provided details in the June 8, 2012, murder of 28-year-old Graham Sears in the hopes of bringing those responsible to justice.

On the evening of Friday, June 8, police responded to an assault call near the Braeside Shopping Centre in the city’s S.W.  Witnesses had seen one man being assaulted by two others inside of a silver Toyota 4Runner.

Officers arrived to discover the vehicle parked in the alley behind the strip mall.  The lifeless body of Graham Sear was inside the SUV.

Surveillance cameras captured a dark coloured, Kia Spectra sedan leaving the strip mall.  Police believe the car is a 2004-2006 model.

According to investigators, Sear’s death was drug related and may have centered around a drug deal.  Investigators believe Sear knew one of his assailants and had arranged the drug deal with him.

The first suspect is described as:

  • A Middle Eastern male
  • Approximately 35-years-old
  • 250 lbs
  • Short dark hair

The second suspect is described as:

  • A Caucasian male
  • Light, coloured hair
  • Wearing a black hoodie and jeans

The shopping centre was busy at the time of Sear’s death and police believe there may be witnesses who have yet to come forward.
