A 17-year-old girl took to the stand on Tuesday via closed circuit television to describe the disturbing details of the alleged sexual assaults she endured at the hands of a man more than 20 years her senior.

Satinderjit Mangat faces charges including sexual assault, luring a child under the age of 16 and making child pornography.

The teenager, identity withheld, says she was sexually assaulted by Mangat in 2013 after meeting him online through the messaging website Kik and conversing with him on Facebook.

According to Mangat’s accuser, she agreed to meet with the online user ‘Sam Pat’ and he picked her up in the alleyway of her home in the northeast neighbourhood of Pineridge. Mangat drove to a nearby park, entered the backseat  of the vehicle where the girl was seated and proceeded to kiss her. The girl says she ended up naked.

Immediately following their initial encounter, the teenager received a message from the man stating he wanted to meet with her again to have sex.

In her testimony, the teenager says she met with the man several times in the four months after their first meeting. She visited the house of the man who said he was 20 years old and a college student.

The girl’s father also testified on Tuesday saying he contacted police after his wife found explicit Facebook messages between their daughter and the accused.

The trial is scheduled to continue through Friday.
