Second-degree murder charges have been laid against two men in connection to the death of another man at a Lethbridge area home on Monday.

Emergency crews were called to a home in the 1200 block of 9 Avenue North at about 7:20 a.m. where they found a man in medical distress.

The victim, 45-year-old Kenrick Leonard First Rider, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say First Rider was involved in a verbal dispute with two other men at the residence that resulted in a physical altercation.

First Rider sustained fatal injuries and his death has now been ruled a homicide.

Police say a 23-year-old man came forward at about 5:20 p.m. Monday and was arrested without incident.

A second man was identified as being involved and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

Rylan James Wyatt Twigg, 23, and Simon Danny Scout, 19, both of Lethbridge, are now charged with second-degree murder.

Twigg is in police custody and Scout was arrested on Tuesday afternoon after police recieved a tip from the public.
