Police in Lethbridge are investigating the suspicious death of a woman who was found in a north side home early Monday morning.

Officers responded to a home in the 300 block of 19 Street North just after 3:00 a.m. for reports of an injured woman.

The woman was found dead inside the home and police are considering her death suspicious.

Police stopped a vehicle a short time later in the 200 block of 13 Street North and say several people were taken into custody in connection to the woman’s death.

Investigators say the crime scene is extensive and includes the house and yard as well as a back alley and the parking lot of a nearby school.

There is no word yet on charges or the identity of the deceased.
