Police have arrested and charged two men with second degree murder in connection with the death of a man whose body was found inside a burning car northeast of Calgary last week.

Theo and Julius Wheyee, 20 and 28 years old respectively, have been charged with:

  • Second degree murder
  • Committing an indignity to a body
  • Arson

Both suspects are being held until their first court date on September 28.

Police are also saying that they are seeking a third suspect in the murder.

On September 18, authorities found a vehicle on fire in a ditch northeast of Airdrie, in the area of Township Road 280 and Range Road 283.

When the fire was put out, crews ended up locating a body inside the vehicle. The victim has since been identified as Mohammed Saqib, 33.

With the help of the Calgary Police Service, the RCMP says it has arrested two men in connection with Saqib’s death.

Police are looking for a third suspect, 29-year-old Saad Mohamed Osman of Calgary.

Osman is described as:

  • Dark skinned
  • Brown hair
  • Brown eyes
  • 5’8”
  • 155 pounds

Osman, who may also go by the name ‘Mustafa’, is considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached.

Investigators are also looking to speak with anyone who may have had contact with Saqib in the hours leading up to his death.
