Body located in Highway 1A vehicle fire identified as Morley woman

An autopsy has confirmed the identity of the body which was discovered by members of the Stoney Nakoda Fire Department following a Saturday morning vehicle fire.

In the early hours of November 1, firefighters responded to a location along Highway 1A following reports of a vehicle fire.

Firefighters successfully extinguished the blaze but the remains of a woman were located inside the vehicle.

The Lethbridge Forensic Identification Section has identified the deceased as a female resident of Morley, Alberta. The victim's name has not been released but her death has been deemed non-suspicious.
