A 32-year-old man is dead after his vehicle drove into the path of a semi-tractor trailer unit on the Trans-Canada Highway west of Cochrane on Thursday night.
Police were called to the scene near Scott Lake Hill at about 11:00 p.m. and say the truck was travelling east on the highway when it collided with an Infiniti SUV.
The driver of the SUV was alone in the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the truck was not injured.
Cochrane RCMP is investigating and say no charges are pending at this time.
