Residents who live near Shaganappi Trail in northwest Calgary will be able to give input on a long term plan for road at an open house meeting on Thursday night.

Several ideas will be presented at the meeting, including car pool lanes along the stretch of road from 16 Avenue north to Stoney Trail.

Officials say that due to population growth, traffic on Shaganappi is supposed to double by 2039.

The session runs from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Varsity Acres Presbyterian Church.
