Mihnaz Binish, the little girl whose stroller was hit by a car which drove onto a Shawnessy sidewalk, has succumbed to her injuries.
Mihnaz and her 31-year-old mother were walking along Shawville Gate S.W. at approximately 11:05 a.m. Thursday, April 25 when a vehicle left the road and collided with the pair.
Police believe the driver of the car, a 70-year-old man, suffered a medical episode and subsequently lost control of his vehicle.
Mihnaz and the driver were transported to hospital by EMS, with both patients in life-threatening condition. Mihnaz's mother suffered minor injuries in the crash.
The toddler passed away on Friday, April 26.
The driver remains in hospital where his condition continues to improve. Investigators have yet to question the man about the collision.
