Calgary police are investigating in the northeast community of Crescent Heights after shots rang out early Monday morning.
Police were called to the 1300 block of 1 Street N.E. for reports of gunshots at about 1:00 a.m. and found a man suffering from serious injuries.
He was transported to hospital by EMS, but it's still unclear how he'd been hurt.
Police say the investigation is ongoing and don't believe the incident was a random attack.
