Lethbridge police continue to investigate a homicide at a home on the weekend and have identified the victim as 56-year-old Frances Candice Little Light.
Emergency crews were called to an apartment complex in the 100 block of Columbia Boulevard at about 5:15 p.m. Sunday for reports of a severely injured woman.
Little Light was found by crews in a suite and was pronounced dead a short time later.
Joanne Smith is a friend of the deceased and says she was shocked to learn the news.
"I'm still going in shock that she's gone because I was going to go and visit her actually and then the tape was there," said Smith.
A search of the area was initiated by the K9 Unit and a number of people were taken in for questioning.
Police are not releasing the cause of death for investigative reasons and say they don’t have any suspects in custody at this time.
