RCMP in Airdrie are investigating an early morning break and enter and sexual assault that happened at the end of June.
Police were called to a home in Airdrie on June 29 for a break-in and say an man entered a home where a group of women were staying.
One woman was asleep on a couch on the main floor of the home and the others were asleep upstairs when the incident happened.
Police say the man approached the woman on the couch and when she awoke he lifted her shirt and forcefully touched her breast.
The woman fought back and the offender fled the scene out a back door.
The woman was not injured in the incident and a search of the area failed to turn up a suspect.
The suspect is described as:
- Caucasian male
- Mid to late 30s, possibly early 40s
- Thin build
- Dark short hair
- Short beard
- About 177 to 183 cm or 5’10” to 6’
